I am a traditional artist in Georgia who draws and paints. Being a black artist, I don’t want race to be the drive to art. I feel my art is for everyone because we all are living life. Also, how we all live different lives makes my art flourish. I want everyone to feel like that they are characters in the painting or feel like they can relate to my art in a way to make us all feel somewhat connected. Being a quiet person makes me very observant, which I feel will make me an excellent artist.

Some themes can be deeper than others
There are many perspectives I draw upon for inspiration, and they have to do with life itself. I observe what people say, do, what people think, their perspectives, and also my ideals as well. I listen to a lot of music, with different standpoints and ideas to drive my art. I also watch a lot of anime/ cartoons, which have good messages and lessons that I, and many others, have been through. So basically, I get my inspiration from just living life, and exploration. My creative process starts with the theme. Then based on the theme, I plan out, line weight, perspective, and most importantly color. I love to use color in my art because color has the power to change emotions and change ideals.
“Demons”
In my works, I draw, and mainly work in acrylic paint and on regular canvas. I incorporate size and techniques based on the theme involved and how others or I would feel upon that theme. I mainly take influence from the world we live in. Different lessons and obstacles we go through and learn from in life is what influences me to make art. For example, my “Demons” painting has the feeling of times where you feel like others are dragging you down. Not just people but obstacles in life that bring us down and bring us to our lowest times in life. Distractions or obstacles that bring us down or try to stop us from being the greatest version of ourselves is what I want to incorporate in this piece, making it relatable to others that feel this type of way.
